Course Description:
The content of this programme encompasses the necessary skills and knowledge for proficiently managing a vehicle-mounted crane, specifically for the purpose of loading and unloading vehicles.
Upon the successful completion of this programme, participants will be certified to operate a wide range of vehicle loading cranes, including renowned models like Hiab and Palfinger. These cranes are designed with a lifting capacity of 10 metric tonnes or above.
Learning Outcome:
On completion of the course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge to
- Plan Operations: Manage hazards and engage in consultations
- Perform Pre-operational Inspections: Assess the crane and associated equipment
- Establish Setup: Configure outriggers, crane boom, and lifting equipment
- Execute Load Transfers: Safely shift loads using slings and mobile equipment
- Conclude Operations: Properly shut down and pack up the crane and equipment in accordance with site-specific procedures
Outcome:
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a High-Risk Work Licence (class CV) will be issued through the WHS authority in your jurisdiction. (SafeWork/WorkSafe)
