This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus (specifically LV panels, not including overhead lines and underground cables) and also teaches how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for two units: UETDRMP018 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel, and HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The course duration is Half Day.

The Low Voltage Rescue unit (UETDRMP018) requires a prerequisite of the Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation unit (HLTAID009). This course is a combined offering designed to satisfy both requirements.

Participants will gain the skills and knowledge to: prepare for a live LV panel rescue, carry out the rescue procedure, complete the rescue procedure, respond to an emergency situation, perform CPR procedures, communicate incident details, and review the incident.

Assessment for the course involves both Theory and Practical components.
