C6 Slewing mobile crane course

This is a course for entry level slewing mobile cranes, up to 60 tonnes.

About the course

This unit is nationally recognised and can only be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that complies with governing standards of quality control and quality training and assessment. This course qualifies you to become a licensed crane operator (or crane driver) in the construction industry for slewing mobile cranes up to 60 tonnes.

This course goes for 5 days and the training is conducted at our premises in Regents Park NSW, but we can also arrange training and assessment at the client’s premises where all required conditions are met.

While training on our premises you will have access to free Wi-Fi, sunscreen, a helmet and gloves. We also have a filtered water bubbler onsite to keep you hydrated and we are a short walk from a café.

Upon successful completion of this course the participant will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit TLILIC0013 Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes capacity).

Who is eligible?

To be eligible to enrol in this training program, participants must meet a few basic requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Satisfactorily complete our English and mathematics assessment (LLN)
  • Be able to provide photo identification (100 points of ID)
  • Be able to obtain a USI
  • Be physically fit and not have any physical conditions that would preclude holding a driver’s licence

Payments

Fees and Charges

This course attracts a fee of $1,350.00 per participant and is GST exempt. These fees cover all training, assessment, use of machinery/equipment, stationary (books, pens, use of calculator and resources) and most importantly, the amazing experience.

A $500.00 deposit is required when making a booking as spaces are limited. Corporate rates and group pricing is also available.

The full course fee must be paid prior to final licensing assessment and prior to issuing any official course outcome documentation (Statement of Attainment, Notice of Satisfactory Assessment/Assessment Summary). In the event that we have not received the full payment, we will withhold the documentation which will be sent via Registered Mail upon receipt of payment, at no additional cost.

Upon completion of the course, the participant will be issued with a statement of attainment in the above unit. Statements of attainment are valuable documents and need to be retained, in the event that one is lost, a replacement is available for a fee of $22.00 including GST.

Participants who do not satisfactorily complete the course in the first attempt have 90 days from the course completion to undertake a second and third attempt at the assessment at an additional cost (to be determined on case-by-case basis).  Participants who wait longer than 90 days to undertake the second attempt will need to reenrol into the course and pay the full course fee.

Things You Should Know About C6 Crane Course License Assessment

Many believe that crane operators are good at operating cranes and are simply required to pass the required machine checks and actual operation tests, but most of the course involves upgrades.

In this regard, the C6 crane course is what we should focus on. The C6 Crane Course has the potential to operate all mobile cranes, hydraulic and lattice masts, all non-swivel crane licenses (such as telehandler along with the Flanner cranes), and vehicle-loaded cranes.

The Multi skill C6 Crane Course License Assessment is provided over a four-day period via Safety Australia Training and includes knowledge, performance, and calculation criteria. Before completing the training, students must complete the pre-training materials provided.

During the training, operators are encouraged to participate in some activities and ask questions and participate in topic-related discussions whenever necessary. The training is designed to allow operators to acquire skills, which can only be achieved by operators who have difficulty acquiring skills.

The purpose of the facilitator is to guide and assist the operator on the path to proficiency. Training is not necessarily part of a productive workplace, but operators should act in the manner required in the workplace, whether or not they wear personal protective equipment and other general ethics.

Read till the end till we highlight the importance of the training for crane operators and some details about the C6 slewing crane course worth knowing.

Why Crane Operator Training Is Needed

All roles at the construction site are important and even valuable.

This is especially true for those who operate cranes at construction sites. The importance of training crane operators cannot be exaggerated and denied. Proper training will help the individual in charge and his team a lot.

Without proper training, operators endanger everyone and disrupt project schedules which has a negative impact on the entire construction process. A crane is a huge machine that can cause serious damage.

The training teaches operators how to handle various cranes safely and related safety measures. Training also teaches students what to do with damaged, twisted, or twisted wire ropes. Understanding what to do in an emergency is another aspect of operator responsibility.

With this in mind, knowing how to operate the crane properly can significantly reduce workplace risk. Crane operators are responsible for intensive tasks such as lifting, moving, and arranging equipment and materials in the work area. In addition, the tower is assembled on-site, and regular maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication is performed.

The operator begins training as an apprentice and learns both in class and under the guidance of a journeyman. As a general rule, trainees start with a core school diploma. As future operators complete their training, they will be qualified to operate different types of cranes.

This includes authentication such as boom truck, mobile crane operation, tower crane surgery, and forklift operation. In this regard, one of the best training for cranes is the C6 crane course which has a licensing course for those interested as well.

As a student or a participant, you make money while studying and are paid hourly while working at a construction site. Wages start at about 50% of Journeyman’s hourly wage and rise to full hourly wages during training.

Participation in the training program C6 crane operator training program requirements vary worldwide.

In most states and territories, you must be in the 10th grade or have an equivalent education to participate in the Crane Operator Program. Some states and territories offer secondary school programs that allow high school students to pursue their careers as crane operators.

Program length

The length of the crane operator training program depends on the equipment you operate. The program lasts one to three years and includes on-the-job training, technical training, and final certification exams.

Some programs also include completing a self-study course before starting technical training. The training period can be shortened by completing the relevant professional experience or crane driver training course at the College of Applied Sciences or the University of Applied Sciences.

Certification

Certification is highly needed in some states and territories and is available in other regions, but it is optional.

Certification is always recommended as it shows your employer and other workers that you are a qualified professional and helps you to get your work. To be certified as a crane operator, you typically need to complete a 1-3-year training course.

Upon successfully completing the required training, specialist training, and exams, you will receive a Journeyman certificate.

In some states, you may be capable of crane operator certification if you have practical experience in crane operation and high school, college, or industry courses.

As a Certified Crane Operator, you can write interstate exams to qualify for the Safety Australia, and you can work as a crane operator anywhere in Australia.

Crane Truck Operator Certification is mandatory even in some other states of Australia.

Mobile crane operator certification is mandatory in Australia and its regions. Mobile crane operators may require a state license to operate mobile cranes on public roads. In states and territories that do not have the certification, you may be able to study as an apprentice through a local labor organization.

See the related links for contact information. As a crane operator, you need to always keep your skills up to date. It is not a secret that modern cranes often have sophisticated computers in the cab to assist operators.

The C6 Crane course allows all the participants to operate mobile cranes, hydraulic booms, grid booms, and crane driver’s licenses.

Crane operators work closely with other equipment operators and ground personnel. As with all construction industries, safety is paramount. Crane operators are trained to work safely and take special precautions to prevent injuries at work.

Master what you like and become a professional crane operator without worrying about anything once you have completed the course.

Safety Australia believes in the safety of all operators. Our experienced riggers are properly trained to handle any relocation task, large or small. This makes us one of Australia’s leading crane service companies and its regions.
