Course Overview:
Qualification: CPCCLRG4001 – Licence to perform rigging advanced level
Duration: 4 or 5 Days (Depending on delivery location)
Assessment Type: Theory and Practical
Prerequisite: CPCCLRG3002 – Licence to perform rigging intermediate level (RI Ticket)
Course Description:
This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge to perform rigging work at an advanced level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic and intermediate levels, and also includes rigging of gin poles and shear legs, flying foxes and cable ways, guyed derricks and structures, and suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds for licensing purposes.
Upon successful completion of the course and HRWL assessment, you’ll be certified to perform advanced rigging work, including the installation and dismantling of complex rigging equipment like derricks, gin poles, and flying foxes, in high-risk environments.
Learning Outcome:
On completion of the course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge to
- check relevant workplace information, including safe work method statements (SWMSs) and equipment service and maintenance records and checklists.
- perform all activities in compliance with workplace-specific, safe work and manufacturer requirements, including the completion of required handover certificates
- identify hazards and use appropriate risk controls and safety measures and equipment
- use all the associated gear listed under Knowledge Evidence
- safely erect, use and dismantle structures and plant.
Outcome:
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a High-Risk Work Licence (class RA) will be issued through the WHS authority in your jurisdiction. (SafeWork/WorkSafe)
