This accredited course includes the unit of competency:
NAT11249001 – Licence to operate a non-slewing telehandler (with a rated capacity greater than 3 tonnes)
Competence in this unit does not allow for driving a telehandler on a main or public road. In order to drive on a main or public road, an appropriate vehicle licence, issued by a transport regulator, is required.
Competence in this unit does not allow for the use of a telehandler fitted with a work platform where another High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) is applicable.
11249NAT Course in Licensing for Non-Slewing Telehandler Operations with a Rated Capacity Over 3 Tonnes
3 Days – 8 hours per Day
Participants will develop the skills and knowledge required to plan for operations and operate a non-slewing telehandler with a rated capacity over 3 tonnes, including the use of attachments, safe driving and completion of telehandler operations. It also develops the skills and knowledge required to operate a non-slewing telehandler with fixed and freely suspended loads.
This course has both theory and practical components.
Upon Successful completion of this course, participants receive a Statement of Attainment and an email from WorkSafe Victoria, with a link to a Notice of Assessment (which acts as a temporary licence for 60 days). The Notice of Assessment must be lodged on the MyWorkSafe portal or with Australia post within 60 days. Upon successful lodgement and payment of the WorkSafe Licence Fee ($67.60 as at 16/12/2021), a Worksafe ‘Licence to Perform High Risk Work – category TV’ will be available on the WorkSafe portal or posted to the applicant.
This course will be delivered and assessed by WH&S Training & Assessment Services Pty Ltd – RTO 32365.
