Course Overview

This course covers the requirements for those who are required to work at heights in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.

Successfully completing this course will allow you to inspect, fit and use height safety equipment whilst working at heights.

Course Outline

On completion of the course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge in:

• Legislative Requirements: WHS, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
• Planning to work at Heights: Hazard management and consultation
• Following Procedures: Equipment Inspections, reporting and manufacturer’s instructions
• Working at Height: access, egress, height safety equipment use.
• Conclude Work: Clean up, inspection, storage and reporting

Assessment

This program has been designed to assess a person’s competence in accordance with the Health Training Package and the proprietary requirements of the organisation or workplace. The assessment will consist of a written assessment and a practical demonstration

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
