CPCCLDG3001 – Licence to perform dogging

 

The nationally recognised “Dogging” course is a WorkSafe issued high risk licence class – DG. With this licence you can perform dogging activities in any state or territory of Australia.

A trained and licensed Dogman is required when any decisions need to be made regarding:

  1. The identification of lifting points.
  2. Selection / Inspection of slings or
  3. Selecting of a slinging technique.
  4. Directing Crane movements.

5 Days – 8 hours per Day

Dress Requirements:

Safety shoes. All other PPE required, including high visibility vests, hard hats etc. are provided when training occurs at Clayton Training Facility. Where training occurs on-site, this will be discussed at the time of booking.

 

Equipment Requirements:

When training and assessment takes place at Dandenong South Training facility, all resources and equipment required for the course is provided. Where training and assessment is to take place on-site, prior to booking a course, a full list of equipment required will be provided (to ensure that training/assessment can take place at the proposed site)

 

Entry Requirements:

  • Candidates must be atleast 18 years of age
  • Can use the English language at a level that enables the safe performance of high risk work.
  • Participants are required to have general good health and fitness and any pre-existing medical conditions that will affect the training must be disclosed prior to attending.
  • To obtain a Victorian Worksafe Licence, applicants must reside in Victoria or, if they reside elsewhere, have a valid reason for obtaining the licence in Victoria.

 

Course Description:

Participants will be able to identify the safety requirements for all dogging activities and their working environments as well as being able to apply a working knowledge of the OH&S and regulatory requirements in accordance with WorkSafe standards.

 

Outcome:

Upon Successful completion of this course, participants receive a Statement of Attainment and an email from WorkSafe Victoria, with a link to a Notice of Assessment (which acts as a temporary licence for 60 days). The Notice of Assessment must be lodged on the MyWorkSafe portal or with Australia post within 60 days. Upon successful lodgement and payment of the WorkSafe Licence Fee ($67.60 as at 16/12/2021), a Worksafe ‘Licence to Perform High Risk Work – category DG’ will be available on the WorkSafe portal or posted to the applicant.

Safety Australia Training is recruiting on behalf of Go Workplace Training (RTO code: 22464). The students will be enrolled with Go Workplace Training for this course who will be responsible for training, assessment and issuing the Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of this course.
