Course Overview
This unit of competency involves the skills and knowledge required to undertake rescues in confined spaces as a member of a single organisation or team involving multiple organisations.
Course Outline
- Prepare for confined space rescue operation
- Assess and manage confined space rescue
- Determine location and condition of casualties
- Gain entry to confined space
- Remove casualties
- Conclude rescue operations
Assessment
The assessment for this programme has been designed to assess a person’s competence in accordance the Training Package, any relevant Legislation and the proprietary requirements of the organisation or workplace. The assessment will consist of both a written and practical component.
Certification
After completing this course successfully, the participant will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by Registered Training Organisation for the unit PUASAR025 – Undertake confined space rescue.
